MURTI, A COOL PLACE OF NORTH BENGAL
Murti, a cool place of North Bengal
Murti, a known place to the people of north bengal, may be because of its popularity as a picnic spot among the people of north bengal. This place is situated on the bank of river murti which is flowing down from kalingpong hills. The Chapramari Wildlife Santuary and Garumara National Park, famous for its one horn rhinos is situated just besieds the place. So, nodoubt anyone can enjoy the beauty of nature. A nice view of hills are also available from this place.
As mentioned above Murti is situated besieds the Chapramari Wildlife Santuary and Garumara National Park, you can treck through the forest, stony riverside. You can also spend some beautiful and peaceful moment enjoying the beauty of nature sitting on the banks of the river. But it is highly recomended not to stay at the forest after sunset as Gharials, Elephents are often found there.
As Murti is just 80 km away from Siliguri town, visiting this place is nodoubt going to be a easy trip. The nearest railway station is Chalsa. Besides Jalpaiguri, malbazar are few km away from this place.
